What we do

One Call for Every Plumbing Problem

Most calls start the same way: “I have a plumbing problem.”

A pipe leak. A clogged toilet. No hot water. Sewage coming up through the shower and the toilet making bubbly noises. A faucet that will not stop dripping. Fast Track Plumbing handles all of it across the Tampa Bay area: leak repair, drain cleaning, water heaters, fixtures and toilets, garbage disposals, gas lines, sewer lines, slab leaks, and whole-home water treatment. Single-family homes are the bread and butter, and condos, townhouses, and apartments are welcome too.

You get a real diagnosis, the price up front before any work starts, and a repair done right the first time. No piece jobs, no shortcuts that turn into next month’s leak.

Water quality spotlight

Tampa Bay Water Is Hard on Your Home. We Fix That.

White crust on the faucets. Spots on the shower glass you clean over and over. A chlorine taste from the tap, or a rotten egg smell if you are on a well. Faucets that slowly lose pressure. A water heater that dies years before it should. If any of that sounds familiar, your plumbing is not the problem.

Your water is Our region’s water comes out of a limestone aquifer, so it carries a heavy mineral load. Hardness here is measured in grains per gallon, and Tampa Bay homes run high. The utilities disinfect with chloramine, which is harder to remove than plain chlorine and is what most people are tasting. None of it is unsafe. It is just hard on everything the water touches: heaters, fixtures, appliances, skin, and hair.

“Water quality is the root of almost every plumbing problem I see, apart from drainage.”  That is why Fast Track treats water, not just symptoms. Scale buildup makes a water heater work harder and fail sooner. On treated water, a heater that would have lasted 5 years can last 10. The math usually favors fixing the water.

Water Treatment Solutions

Which Water Solution Fits Your Home?

Water Softener
An ion exchange system that pulls out the calcium and magnesium behind scale, spots, and crusty faucets. The right call for most city-water homes in Hillsborough and Pinellas.
Whole-House Filtration
Catalytic carbon removes the chloramine taste and smell at the point of entry, so every tap pours clean. Pairs naturally with a softener on city water.
Reverse Osmosis
Multi-stage purification at the kitchen sink for drinking and cooking water.
Well Water Treatment
Sulfur smell, sediment, and bacteria call for a different setup: aeration, filtration, or UV disinfection matched to what the well test finds.

Why Fast Track

Why Fast Track Is Different

Here is where Fast Track is different: we do not sell you a box off a shelf.

Big-box units are built for an average house that does not exist, and the brand-name systems cause their own problems.

Instead, your water gets tested, the hardness gets measured in grains, and a system is custom-built for your house and your water supply.

Lower risk. Better fit. Built to last.

Repairs and emergencies

Emergency Plumbing
Burst pipe, backed-up sewer, no water: call and get same-day help.
Fast shutoff guidance on the phone, permanent repair on site.
Pinhole leaks, corroded lines, pressure problems, repipes.
Finding leaks under Florida slab homes without tearing up more floor than necessary.

Many Florida insurers require a 4-point inspection on homes 20+ years old before they’ll issue or renew a policy. If your home was built before the mid-1990s, it may still have Grey polybutylene supply lines, aging galvanized steel, and old cast iron drains may require replacing. Fast Track handles the whole process.

Drains and sewer

Clogged toilets, whacky tub drains, kitchen backups, cleared with a drum snake machine that gets through any blockage.
When clearing is not enough and the line itself needs work.
High-pressure cleaning for grease and root-choked lines.
Roots, bellies, and the surprises people bury in the yard.
A sewer camera finds the problem before anyone digs.

Water heaters

Tank and tankless, sized to the home, permitted and to code.
Endless hot water and lower bills when the house suits it.

Fixtures and water quality

Repairs, replacements, and the under-toilet leaks other plumbers miss. A flange that is not sealed right will leak again; ours do not.
Repair or replace, done in a visit.

Same Day

Fast Track

When We Say Same Day, We Mean the Work, Not the Visit

The big companies can promise a same-day appointment. What shows up is often an inspector who looks things over, quotes the job, and schedules the actual work for another day. We do it differently: the person who answers your call is the Master Plumber who shows up, and the truck arrives ready to do the repair on the spot.

Luke, the owner of Fast Track Plumbing, is a Tampa local who takes pride in his work and cares about your home and his city. He is a State Certified Plumbing Contractor (license #CFC1433909, verifiable with the State of Florida) with more than 7 years in Tampa Bay service plumbing. He trained at Santa Fe College in Gainesville and completed his plumbing training. He worked for 6 years at several large plumbing companies in Tampa before opening Fast Track. He is insured, he pulls the permits, and he leaves no mess behind.

Pricing is upfront and simple and if you approve the repair, we can usually get started right away.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Get expert answers to common plumbing questions. From leaks and clogged drains to water heaters and water filtration, we’re here to help you make informed decisions with confidence.

How much does a plumber cost in Tampa Bay?
There is a $100 diagnostic fee for a licensed plumber to come out and diagnose the problem, and that fee is waived when you have us do the work. You get the exact price up front before anything starts, and it does not change mid-job. As a market reference, water heater replacements around Tampa commonly run from about $700 for a straightforward swap to $3,000 for a tankless conversion. Payment is due at the time of service, and we take cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Both are common calls, and either way it starts with a look. Softeners that were self-installed or bought off the shelf often need reprogramming, a valve or resin fix, or replacement after about ten years. We will tell you honestly whether yours is worth repairing or whether a system built for your water makes more sense.
For most homes, yes. Our water is hard enough that scale shortens the life of water heaters, fixtures, and appliances, and a softener sized to your actual grains-per-gallon reading stops that at the point of entry. Start with a water test; the numbers make the decision easy.
That is usually hydrogen sulfide, and it is most common on well water around the Bay area. It is rarely harmful, but nobody should live with it. Well water takes a different treatment path than city water: aeration, filtration, or UV, chosen from what your well test shows.
Yes, in nearly every case. As a State Certified Plumbing Contractor, Luke pulls the permit and installs to code, so the job passes inspection and never causes trouble when you sell the house.
Yes. Single-family homes are most of the work, and condos, townhouses, and apartments are all welcome.
